Dubai Land Department (DLD) concluded its participation in the world-leading real estate exhibition MIPIM held at Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France over four days, 12 – 15 March 2019. This came in line with its ambitious strategy and comprehensive annual agenda that aims to promote Dubai’s real estate and support the government’s directives to attract direct foreign investment and support developers.
This is the first time that DLD is participating as a Partner City under the umbrella of the Government of Dubai and prepared for this event by holding a meeting in September 2018 that witnessed the participation of a number of major real estate developers. Through the meeting, DLD encouraged them to join Dubai’s delegation to this important global exhibition under DLD’s umbrella, representing the Emirate and shedding light on its real estate sector.
HE Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of DLD, said: “MIPIM enabled us to strengthen our extensive promotional plan to promote and develop our real estate sector within the activities of the Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management sector at DLD. We already succeeded in highlighting the Emirate’s unique features and its real estate sector with the distinct investment global opportunities it offers, opening our doors for developers to showcase their outstanding projects with high international standards and participate in strengthening the Emirate’s position at the global level.”
In recognition of its commitment to providing investors who are seeking to own homes in Dubai access to Dubai’s market and benefit from the opportunities offered by the integral French market, the Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management sector at DLD announced the launch of a new real estate promotion trustee office in Paris during its participation in MIPIM, adding to its current list of international real estate promotion trustees.
The office is expected to open early May 2019 and will serve as a platform for Dubai developers to promote their investment opportunities to French investors and tourists. The Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management sector at DLD is strategically and genuinely working on its widespread integration into major markets, promoting Dubai’s real estate and strengthening the Emirate’s position as one of the preferred destinations for investing and living.
In conjunction with MIPIM, DLD signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Florida Realtors to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the field of real estate. Through the MoU, Florida Realtors will provide its knowledge and expertise to customers in Florida, Dubai, and around the world. The two parties also affirmed their determination to achieve common goals for future successes by strengthening cooperation efforts and building relationships to promote business opportunities.
Majida Ali Rashid, CEO of the Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management sector at DLD, commented: “We are proud to record active participation during MIPIM, where we were able to achieve desired positive results, most prominently in promoting our projects to large crowds of international visitors. We will witness the great impact of this participation in the coming months and years thanks to our partnership and promotional campaigns that we launched.”
MIPIM 2019 is one of the largest real estate exhibitions in the world. DLD participated in last year’s edition, where its pavilion witnessed a high level of activity, especially as global investors are keen to be introduced to the Emirate’s investment advantages. More than 50 countries and 5,000 international investors participated in the exhibition that featured over 1,000 real estate projects, making it a great opportunity to conclude agreements and partnerships in the field of real estate investment, especially as it receives high attention from decision-makers who are keen to develop their country’s investment sectors.
