French company Veolia has won its first waste management contract in Oman through a deal with Oman Environmental Services Holding Company (be’ah).
The seven year contract will include collection, transportation, and landfilling for 250,000 inhabitants in the North West region.
Veolia will act as the technical leader of the contract and will operate two landfills, whereas Omani partner Al Ramooz National will be in charge of the waste collection and the development of a Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
