Galfar Engineering and Construction has been awarded a contract for the construction of a fisheries port and related marine and road works in Oman.
The OMR 60.69mn ($157mn) contract was awarded by the Special Economic Zone Authority, Duqm (Sezad).
Construction work will take 30 month with an additional six months for mobilization, Galfar said in a statement to the Muscat Securities Market.
Work on the port will include dredging, land reclamation, breakwaters, quay walls and concrete floating pontoons with berthing facilities, said a Muscat Daily report.
