Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has awarded contracts for 15 infrastructure projects worth AED 4bn ($1.08bn) to nine different contractors.
Work covers development of roads and residential neighbourhood infrastructure on the outskirts of the capital city and in the Western Region.
A few projects have already begun and all are expected to be completed by late 2019, Musanada said.
Five of the projects will be centred in the Western Region town of Madinat Zayed. Saif Bin Darwish was the biggest winner with a AED 980mn contract to develop roads and infrastructure for an Emirati housing neighbourhood. The same company also picked up two additional packages worth AED 108.9mn and AED 89.7mn.
Kuwait-based Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al-Kharafi and Sons Company (AED 738mn) and UAE-based Nael and Bin Harmal Hydroexport Establishment (AED 518.6mn) also won deals for infrastructure in Madinat Zayed.
Ghantoot Transport and General Contracting won a AED 599.9mn deal to build the road connecting Madinat Zayed with Al Mirfa and a separate AED 108.5mn project for road and infrastructure development in Madinat Zayed.
Western Bainoona Group for General Contracting clinched a AED 108mn deal to build infrastructure for the new industrial area in the Western Region town of Ghayathi, and AED 102.7mn contract for roads and infrastructure in Al Nahdha Military area on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi City.
Al Jaber Transport and General Contracting (AED 107.8mn) will set up roads and infrastructure for four sectors in Madinat Zayed.
Bin Hafeez General Contracting won two contracts worth AED 101.9mn and AED 85.9mn to develop infrastructure in Mohammad Bin Zayed City.
Wade Adams Hilalco won the final contract worth AED 80mn for works in north Al Wathba.
