Ranking 7: Joe Tabet, Managing Director & Founder of JT+Partners
Being the Managing Director and founder of JT+Partners, Joe Tabet’s role was to establish a vision from day one.
A vision that could be flexible and adjustable to adopt different market changes. The vision was to think big and act big and accordingly all was planned. Joe manages the growth of the business in the UAE and Beirut, and he is heavily involved in recruiting the right people.
Joe firmly believes that his team is the key to the continuing success of JT+Partners and he ensures that the latest technology and software is available for them. As a believer of gender balance within the workplace, Joe’s team is based on their work performance, and they all have equal opportunities for career growth. He also encourages them to maintain a proper balance between work and family life. Whether a hotel development, residential project, commercial tower or entire master plan, Joe’s success lies in the ability to conceive unique concepts, with of course, the big support of a very creative and talented team.
Joe motivates his team to sharpen their pencil to ensure that each and every project is adding value at a social level, and making a positive impact in people’s lives as well the urban fabric. Client relationships are key for the success of the business, and this is a big focus for Joe and the team.
They aim to build close relationships with their clients so that they are part of the team, and they are friends. Another big focus for Joe is exploring new markets locally and internationally. The aim was to always be based locally but deliver internationally.
This is something Joe and the team are achieving daily with projects located from Morocco to Seychelles, Lebanon, India, Sri Lanka, Angola, Cameroon, Zanzibar, Portugal, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Pakistan. Raising awareness on sustainability and CSR with his staff, and at a community level, is another key point for Joe.
He believes “giving back to the community is a must” and he is doing this in a different way. Joe says, “Exploring the future is a big focus for me at the moment. What is the future of architecture, engineering and construction? Where do we want JT+Partners to be in the next 3 to 7 years?”
Accordingly, Joe keeps pushing the bar in researching and moving towards the future of IOT (Internet of Things) by developing a better understanding and implementation of Digital Twin in architecture and design as well as 3D printing and Modular Construction. To make this happen, JT+Partners, along with their research and development department, are teaming up with different educational institutions to take it to the next level.
