Abdulla Mohammed Alashram is the Group CEO of Emirates Post Group Company (EPG), a PJSC under Emirates Investment Authority. His strategic leadership directs the group’s activities, managing its digital solutions division, Electronic Documents Centre, as well as its postal and courier operating division, Emirates Post, and official fintech arm, FINTX.
Throughout his more than 22 years of devoted service, Abdulla has contributed significantly to EPG’s network expansion and financial success in the UAE. His strategic vision has been essential in maximising investments, fostering partnerships, and advancing the company’s growth, which has resulted in a 10% increase in revenue over the last three years.
Under Abdulla’s direction, EPG has established significant alliances with important partners like FinTech Hive, a regional fintech accelerator programme, and Hub71, a global ecosystem for investors, startups, and tech companies. These alliances have diversified EPG’s service and solutions portfolio. He carried out a calculated move last year by combining the Group’s current financial services businesses under the new ‘FINTX,’ its financial technology arm. This acted as a pillar of EPG’s resolve to broaden its line of business and venture even farther into the vast world of fintech services.
Abdulla keeps pushing for a thorough digital transformation that encompasses all organisational divisions. He does this by utilising digital disruption, embracing cutting-edge technology to streamline operations, improving customer experiences, and spurring innovation in the logistics industry.
EPG has demonstrated its dedication to spearheading the advancement of logistics solutions in the UAE by entering into agreements with Dronamics, a trailblazing cargo drone technology innovator, and SkyGo, an aerial logistics provider. Through these alliances, cargo drone delivery in the UAE and GCC will be made possible on a large scale, with same-day middle-mile and long-distance deliveries made possible. These tactical alliances demonstrate EPG’s commitment to sustainable development, as the company strives to improve accessibility, reduce carbon emissions, and improve customer and community services.
Under Abdulla’s direction, EPG has accomplished significant strides, winning the MENA region’s “Amazon Best Carrier of the Year” title for two years in a row. Furthermore, Emirates Post was acknowledged internationally when it was granted the Universal Postal Union’s 2nd place Gold Award for its International Express Mail Services. The Group’s efficiency in providing unhindered postal services was acknowledged with the Postal Service Provider of the Year award at the Logistics and Transport Awards 2023.
Abdulla has been instrumental in establishing the Group’s new five-year plan, reorganising the company to be more agile and dynamic, diversifying its services and offering state-of-the-art solutions across its businesses, and increasing its commitment to community engagement by developing young people and starting worthwhile initiatives for the betterment of society.
The Group has successfully improved customer experience and changed market perception under his wise leadership. Abdulla is a key contributor to the Group’s success in enabling the UAE market’s logistics.
