The dual tower development, BLVD Crescent, owned by Emaar, is currently under construction, said a progress report from the architectural design firm heading the project, BSBG.
The residential project, situated on the Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai, has undergone significant progress. The Crescent is split into two towers, one 25 storey taller than the other. Structurally, both towers are currently at 50% completion and Tower One is expected to reach full structural completion by December, while Tower Two, the shorter one, will finish slightly before that.
Simultaneously, progress on the interiors of the base levels has begun to take place while structural work on the upper storeys continues. Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC) works are also arriving on site. If one approaches the site from the boulevard, the shape, look, and feel of the design of the project is noticeable now that the architectural aesthetics have set in.
BSBG has approved the internal finishes and is also just beginning to arrive at the BLVD site for installation as the blockwork and plastering nears completion on the lower levels.
A company statement read: BLVD Crescent is also entering its most critical phase, as the structural component comprises only 30% of the development. 70% is ongoing and involves the finishing externally, MEP and the fit out internally. This means more sub-contractors are arriving at the construction site, which in turn creates more coordination and construction supervision responsibilities for BSBG in different areas.
