H.E. Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiya has been Chairman of Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company since March 2024. He joined the company’s Board in January 2017 and was later appointed CEO in July 2018.
His Excellency has built a notable career across various sectors in Qatar. He started as an Operations Engineer at Qatar Petroleum, where he worked until 2011, before advancing to RasGas in 2012 as a Project Engineer and later as the Onshore Development and Planning Manager.
Before assuming his current role, His Excellency served as the Vice Chairman of the Barwa Real Estate Company Board of Directors in 2018 and was elevated to Chairman in 2023. In 2021, he took on the role of Deputy Chairman at Katara Hospitality and was also a board member. By 2022, he joined the Board of Directors of the United Development Company. He has led development efforts across various sectors in Qatar with his extensive managerial expertise, contributing to the country’s National Vision 2030. He is also the Vice President of the Board of Directors at Al Saad Sports Club.
Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company was founded in 2005 by the Qatar Investment Authority, the sovereign wealth fund of the State of Qatar. It is headquartered on the coast of the Arabian Gulf, northeast of the capital, Doha.
