Real estate developer, Eagle Hills Bahrain, has awarded the construction contract for Marassi Shores Residences, within the Marassi Al Bahrain development, to Dadabhai Construction.
Eagle Hills’ general manager, Daniel Hammond, said: The award of this partnership contract and the kick-off of construction of Marassi Shores Residences brings the total site area currently under construction to a significant 8,800 sqm. Marassi Shores is a U-shaped property with superior amenities, surrounding a private leisure complex and directly adjacent to our retail promenade and beach. It is a key component of Marassi Al Bahrain, and one of the most demanding, as up to 900 construction workers will be working at the site during peak hours.
Dadabhai Construction has been involved in many major developments in Bahrain over the past 40 years, including several residential and commercial landmarks. We are, therefore, confident of the quality and level of commitment they bring to the table, and look forward to a timely completion of Marassi Shores Residences in within two years time.
Dadabhai group’s managing director, Shabeer Dadabhai, said: We look forward to a strong long-term relationship with Eagle Hills Bahrain and to put our experience and full efforts behind this spectacular project. Dadabhai Construction has successfully completed several projects of similar scope, including Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) residential complex buildings in Sitra, and many others.
Marassi Shores Residences has a waterfront location with a direct access to the 2 km-long Marassi Beach. The U-shaped building surrounds a podium with sea views, housing a collection of 287 elegantly designed and spacious studio, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments, along with penthouses, staggered across 11 storeys.
Groundbreaking on phase one of the master development took place in September 2016, incorporating Marassi Galleria, Marassi Residences, and Vida Marassi Al Bahrain Hotel & Serviced Residences. Main works on the first phase is on track to deliver the master-planned urban development, offering 875,000 sqm of waterfront residential, hospitality, retail, and entertainment spaces.
Upon completion, Marassi Al Bahrain will be home to 22,000 residents with a total of 6,000 residences and a total retail space of 250,000 sqm, making a significant contribution to Bahrains economy and creating over 1,200 jobs.
