Kuwaiti authorities said work was progressing well on the KWD84.6mn Wafra Road project and the first phase of the project would be completed by March next year.
The project involves the construction of nine intersections, nine flyovers, and over 41 km of four-lane roads, reported Kuwait Times, citing a top official.
The current development plan focuses on nine strategic sectors in the northern region including electricity, water, oil, gas, urban development, education, health services, transport, telecommunications, tourism, media, and the environment, stated the country’s foreign direct investment (FDI) authority director, Sheikh Mesal Al Jaber.
Kuwait has allocated $103bn for 30 major projects, especially after adopting the PPP system, he added.
