Consolidating its presence in the UAE, the fixing systems division of Hira Industries and Netherlands-based Walraven Group unveiled an AED20mn facility called Hira Walraven, located at National Industries Park (NIP).
Commenting on the sidelines of the opening, Ravi Wadhwani, general manager of Hira Walraven, said: We are pleased to open the new facility. Hira Industries has been woven into the fabric of the region since years, and our joint venture with Walraven has enabled us with the right technical support and innovative product range which will help us accommodate the growing demand of customers. As an organisation, we are committed to develop product
specifically suited for customer demands, and our customers rely on us to pioneer new products and techniques, which in turn provide added value to their services. With the opening of this new facility, we have not just consolidated our presence in the region, but also spearheaded our operations to supply quality products on time.
Located at NIP, the exclusive facility will be easily accessible to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and is located in close proximity to the Al Maktoum Airport and the Expo 2020 site. Aimed to offer better storage and manufacturing services, this is the only dedicated facility for fixing systems in the UAE.
Spread across 6,500sqm, the facility is designed to meet the green building norms, compliant with ISO 9001: 2015, whereas the factories are ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 compliant. Looking into the future, an area of 10,000sqm is already available for expansion.
The new facility will be a central distribution warehouse, with a factory to manufacture products as pipe support clamps, support channels, and rubber support inserts. The other major product lines of Hira Walraven products include light duty and heavy duty channels, anti-vibration products, mechanical and chemical anchors.
One of the highlights on offer at the facility is the competence center and the training room. Customers and employees will be able to see replicated installations of site using the complete product range.
Pelle Van Walraven, CEO of Walraven Group, said: We are excited to continue our partnership with the fixing systems division of Hira Industries. The opening of the new facility is a reflection of our enduring relationship with the company and we look forward to delivering our unique and industry-leading facilities to valued customers in the region. We connect the needs of our customers to the strengths of the company.
