Honeywell will launch the results of its Smart Building Score survey, which will reveal the scores of 620 buildings across the region, on 21 March 2016.
The survey is set to reveal how ‘smart’ buildings are in the Middle East through extensive research conducted to evaluate the facilities across the region.
The 620 buildings are situated across seven major cities in the region – Abu Dhabi, Dammam/Dhahran, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Riyadh and Kuwait City. It will include covering airports, hospitals, commercial office and residential buildings, hotels, schools and shopping malls.
In collaboration with market research firm Nielsen and global advisors Ernst & Young, the study evaluates buildings based on established criteria of what constitutes a smart building.
Norm Gilsdorf, president at Honeywell High Growth Regions said: “The Honeywell Smart Building Score brings a new dimension to how we assess our built environment in the wider sustainability context, and offers practical and valuable tools for making our buildings greener, safer and more productive. We look forward to launching the survey results shortly and continuing to work together with our partners and industries in the Middle East to help achieve the Smart Cities vision.”
