Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has won a KRW 470bn ($422mn) contract to build a seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination plant in Saudi Arabia. The deal with Saudi Arabia’s Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) paves the way for the construction of the country’s largest-capacity seawater RO desalination plant in Shuaibah, located along the country’s Red Sea coast, about 110 kilometers south of Jeddah.
