Fire struck Kuwait’s $775mn cultural centre on Monday just two months after the building opened its doors to the public. Emergency services managed to douse the blaze at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center in Kuwait City without fatalities or injuries, according to Kuwait’s official news agency, KUNA. The blaze hit the roof of the complex building, away from the theatre and music buildings, the venue said in statement adding that events and activities would continue as planned. Six Construct has completed a project that has doubled the capacity of an aggregate handling terminal in Mesaieed for Qatar Primary Materials company (QPMC). Completed in partnership with Danish firm FLSMidth, the project has doubled the capacity of the Gabbro Terminal by replacing the current operation system with a state-of-the-art conveyor system to boost annual turnover to 30 million tons of aggregate.
