Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has awarded a contract to install the main 400 kilovolt (kV) power transformer for the Hassyan Clean Coal Power Plant. The deal, which went to an unnamed company, is in addition to a number of other projects at the plant worth a total cost of AED 197mn ($53.6mn). The Hassyan clean coal power plant is being developed by ACWA Power and DEWA under the IPP model.
