Nakheel has completed the enabling works for its new AED2bn ($544mn) Al Khail Avenue mall in Jumeirah Village Triangle in Dubai. The company has also received bids for the main construction package, with seven proposals under assessment and a contract due to be awarded in around 45 days’ time, the company said in a statement. Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded contracts worth AED 703mn ($191.3mn) for the fourth and fifth phases of the Dubai Water Canal Project. Phase 4 which costs about AED 307mn and is part of infrastructural works required to serve property development areas on both sides of the Canal, including roads & utility lines, said HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA. Saudi-Egyptian joint venture Mountain View-Sisban has unveiled a $3.6bn real estate project in New Cairo. Developed over an area of two square kilometers, Mountain View iCity will be one of the first strategic projects in Egypt to be built under a public-private partnership basis.
