He has experience working with Amazon, setting up and managing fulfilment. At the Alibaba Group, he managed the marketplace functions in South East Asia. He holds an MBA from London Business School.

With an educational background in engineering form French high engineering school in Aeronautics and Engines, completed by a managemenet MBA, 50 year-old Hedna joined Renault Trucks in 1996 where he held the position of Engine Research and Development Engineer (1996-1999). In 2000 Hedna was appointed Engineering Manager of the Volvo Trucks Group (2000-2006) before taking on the roles of Global Commodity Manager (2007-2010), Purchasing Director (2011-2014) and Vice President Powertrain Business Strategy in the 2 last years.

Following Hedna’s appointment as UD Trucks Middle East President on the 1st November 2016, he made the move to the UAE and is permanently based at UD Trucks Regional Headquarters in Dubai.

Dr Nassar’s main research interest is sustainability and supply chain resilience. She has published a number of research papers and book chapters in areas such as automotive recall risk and social sustainable supply chain performance, sustainable maritime logistics, supply chain information security, contemporary disruptive business applications of blockchain technology, smart cities and implementation challenges. Dr Nassar has extensive international teaching experience across the UK and the MENA region. She teaches both postgraduate and undergraduate levels. Her teaching proves the diverse expertise she has developed over a decade.

Trevor joined GAC Dubai in November 2021 as General Manager, Contract Logistics and is responsible for the company’s 3PL department operational and business development activities.

He began his logistics career in the UK in 1991 at Exel Logistics where he gained hands-on operational experience. In 2019, Trevor joined DHL as General Manager where he was responsible for Land Rover build halls’ end-to-end logistics, including warehousing and storage.

With over 30 years of logistics experience, Trevor has extensive knowledge of warehousing, 3PL management, business development and operations.

Ayman is a strategist with a strong record in developing business and solutions across multinational territories. Prior to joining SGL, Ayman has held different regional roles with Expeditors, CEVA, UTi and Agility, where he designed and launched new concepts, managed cross-functional multi-locational teams, and lead digital transformation projects.

Ayman has been a guest lecturer at Heriot-Watt, Paris-Sorbonne and Hult Business School and is a mentor for MBA students at Hult Business School. He is fluently trilingual and holds a BS degree in Business Management from the Lebanese university and an MBA (with honors) from HULT Business School.

David brings more than 35 years of professional experience in the warehouse automation sector with expertise across sales, marketing, business development, project management and in managing senior leadership roles.

David is responsible for growing Swisslog’s regional customer base and creating awareness about the need for professionally integrated warehouse automation systems.

Having worked in the industry for more than three decades, David has a wealth of experience and industry expertise. Prior to joining Swisslog Middle East, David has served as Founder & Managing Director of Intralogistic Solution. Additionally, he has worked as the Regional General Manager for Al Futtaim Auto & Machinery Company LLC.

David holds a B.Sc degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Surrey.

He has over 10 years of experience as an investment banker having worked with Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank (SG) and others. Harsh co-founded Cogoport in 2017 and has been an angel investor for more than 10 early-stage ventures. He is a foodie and a fitness enthusiast.

Kunal is a specialist in food and beverage supply chain management with 20 years of experience in managing multi-brand, multi-site food and beverage and luxury retail supply chain operations in Middle East, North Africa, Turkey, and Europe. He has gained expertise in managing farm-to-fork supply chain from agricultural farms, food manufacturing, to retail distribution including eCommerce.

Currently, Kunal heads the global supply chain for Bateel Group that has operations in over 11 countries from US to Middle East to Southeast Asia.He has been instrumental in opening and managing over 200 F&B outlets during his F&B supply chain tenure. Major brand names include Bateel cafés and boutiques, Godiva Café, Tim Hortons, Coldstone Creamery and Sbarro Pizza.

Adel was raised in Dubai and has seen its massive evolution over the past 25 years. After spending a few years in the US studying and working, he returned to the UAE and dived into management consulting where he focused on strategy, customer experience and startup advisory. He has witnessed first hand the growth of the innovation ecosystem across the region. In his latest endeavor, he co-founded PalletPal, a digital freight solution making shipping as quick and easy as booking a flight.

Along with being the CEO of SISCO, Mohammed also serves as Board Member on all SISCO subsidiaries and associate companies. He began his career in electrical engineering more than 25 years ago and gradually escalated to various management and executive positions over the course of his career in several local and international companies. Most notably, he served as the general manager of the power generation division in Siemens Saudi Arabia, based in Al-Khobar, and later as general manager for Stork Cooperheat Middle East, based in Dubai. Mohammed also serves as deputy chairman of the Saudi-German Business Counsel, under the Saudi Chamber of Commerce in Riyadh. He has been a member of various international and professional organisations such as the Project Management Institute, IEEE and the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing. He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree both in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado, USA. He has also completed several short trainings in professional and management courses during his career.

Mohamed was previously associated with MetricStream, where he headed essential portfolios as the director of strategic initiatives and the head of marketing for Europe. During his ten-year journey with the brand, Mohamed built the demand generation for Europe while opening doors for business in the Middle East.

He also worked with Microsoft for more than four years. At Shipsy, Mohamed is responsible for the marketing function with and extended focus on building Shipsy’s presence in newer regions, primarily the Middle East, which holds the company’s regional HQ and other geographies.

Zawahir has over two decades of academic expertise in engineering and management sciences in teaching and advisory capacities. Throughout his teaching journey, he has facilitated a meaningful learning environment. Prior to Westford, Zawahir was the Academic Head of i2i Consultancy, coordinating international leadership initiatives for MBA students. Zawahir has a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, and an M. Tech. in Engineering Management. He has lived and worked in India, the UAE, Malaysia, and South Africa, pursuing a career in academic excellence, and has participated and published research papers at numerous international conferences. Zawahir is a faculty of business and teaches Supply Chain Management and Leadership to MBA students.

Highly ambitious, Sherod started his first business at the age of 17. In 2005 he was nominated by the Prince’s Trust and won Young Businessman of the Year. He was subsequently asked to become a founding member of a grant panel encouraging young people to set up in business, providing mentorship and a small start-up grant.

In 2012, Sherod set up The Waterfalls Group to supply the hospitality industry with the top-quality food and beverages from across the globe, with an emphasis on niche soft drinks,the company operates across the Middle East with a supply chain spanning 21 countries.

Sherod has gained extensive experience in many industries, including construction and demolition, working in a JV alongside the board of Europe’s largest demolition contractors (McGee Group); recycling and renewable energy, and leisure and tourism.

Rami graduated with a BSc in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from S. Illinois University (USA) and has over 20 years of experience in the logistics and distribution industries globally.

Prior to ALS, Rami served in several senior level roles in the Middle East, North America and Asia with extensive experience in operations and projects management, manufacturing and equipment fabrication, and design consultancy for automation projects.

ALS, founded in Germany over 30 years ago with branches in UAE, Malaysia, Singapore, and Germany, is one of the largest suppliers of automation in the region.
