Dubai-based eCommerce firm Namshi.com has been introduced to the Qatar market. With this milestone, Namshi will be the first eCommerce player to launch in the country following the historic regional agreement to normalise relations among the GCC countries.
Namshi is already accepting pre-orders from Qatari customers via both the website and app. Additionally, Namshi will offer rapid delivery to Qatar, just like it does to other GCC countries – Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.
The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the shift towards a more digital world and triggered changes in online shopping behaviors that are likely to have lasting effects.
Thanks to this, Namshi has experienced exponential growth with a 50% rise in business and a 33% increase in new customer acquisition since the pandemic.
Customers in Qatar can look forward to purchasing items directly from Namshi’s collection of over 800 brands including global names, in-house labels, and limited-edition collections. Namshi offers brands such as sportswear giants Nike, Adidas and Puma and beauty products from MAC, Benefit and Charlotte Tilbury, among others.
“As the first ecommerce platform to expand into the Qatar market in 2021, it is essential that Namshi continues to provide our savvy customers across the region with the best possible online shopping experience. The trend-conscious GCC shopper is close to our heart and we will continue to invest in infrastructure and logistics support to maximise our capability to perform as the leading online retailer in the Middle East,” said Hadi Badri of Namshi.
