European automotive logistics provider, Gefco Group, made key appointments in its executive committee with a new member and new roles for two of its current employees.
Luc Nadal, Gefco chairman of the board, said: “With this new organisation, we will benefit from stronger synergies between its various expertises. This will generate greater efficiency and enable us to accelerate our growth in key markets and to guarantee the performance of our organisations.
The first appointment, Emmanuel Cheremetinski, has been a member of the executive committee since 2015 as Overland (OVL) executive vice president. His activities will now include warehousing and reusable packaging (WRP) and finished vehicles logistics (FVL). He will be responsible for providing functional and strategic leadership for the OVL, FVL and WRP activities. He will define their orientation, monitor performance, and provide the necessary support to the subsidiaries.
Formerly executive vice president of the Central Europe, Balkans and Middle East Zone (CEBAME), Pierre-Jean Lorrain takes over as head of the EUROMED region. In this capacity, he will drive the integrated performance of the two regions and will contribute to the creation of synergies and the pooling of resources. He joined the firm in 1989 as IT project manager and led various positions for the FVL activity and became FVL manager in 2001 for Gefco UK.
Emmanuel Delachambre has been appointed executive vice president of Gefco France and member of the group executive committee. He joined the group in 2013 as deputy director responsible for performance and continued improvement at Gefco France. He was appointed deputy MD for the France unit in 2015.

Between 2006 and 2010, he managed the car distribution business unit at the Gefco corporate headquarters and was then appointed MD of the Italian subsidiary in 2010. In 2013, he became director of the Central Europe, Balkans and Middle East Zone for the group and joined the executive committee.
