Dubai-based global marine terminal operator DP World announced that 17 of its senior executives from the UAE region successfully completed an advanced leadership development programme from Eller Executive Education at the University of Arizona in the US.
The programme provides young leaders with the key skills necessary for decision-making and problem solving, introducing them to the best business standards and practices in industry and commerce, especially the maritime sector, said a statement from the company.
The programme included a range of modules on advanced business skills such as strategic workshops, project leadership, organisational thinking, risk management, and finance, as well as business simulation, mentoring, and coaching.
As part of their activities, the participants visited Fortune 500 Companies, global logistics operators, manufacturers, strategy consultants, and bankers in San Francisco, US, and Shanghai, China. The aim of the visits was to study strategic leadership and innovation in global business practice.
