The Abu Dhabi government has approved infrastructure development projects worth more than AED350mn including roadworks, stormwater drainage networks, and parking facilities in the UAE capital.
The projects were okayed by the executive committee of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council in line with Abu Dhabi Plan to achieve a secure and confident society that aims at developing a competitive, sustainable, and globally open economy, reported state news agency Wam.
The committee has allocated AED120mn for roadworks and parking facilities in Al Ain, AED100mn for sewer connections in the capital, AED39.6mn for stormwater drainage networks in the mainland island, and AED67.7mn for management, operation and maintenance of the beaches in the emirate, it added.
