Miral announced that works on the new beachfront community space, AL BAHAR, in Abu Dhabi is on schedule to open by the end of Q1 2018.
80% of entertainment and food and beverage (F&B) outlets have now been leased at the beachfront project at the Corniche, Abu Dhabi. The 80,000sqm mixed-use development will offer a total of 48 retail spaces, comprising F&B, entertainment, leisure, retail, as well as fitness and wellbeing opportunities for both residents and visitors.
AL BAHAR project will also dedicate retail space opportunities for owners of small businesses and entrepreneurs, which are available for short-term leasing to support and inspire pop-up entrepreneurial projects.
BR Kiran, chief portfolio officer at Miral, said: We are on track to launch the groundbreaking leisure, wellness and retail space by the end of March for launch to public, ahead of the Mother of the Nation Festival. Leasing of available retail spaces is also on track with a variety of leasing opportunities still available for both established brands and local start-ups which we feel is a unique and exciting advantage to this project.
The beachfront development in Abu Dhabi will also feature a variety of sports facilities, with basketball and beach volleyball courts, soccer pitches, and an outdoor gym.
Opening at AL Bahar is Haddins, a health and wellness facility. Complementing the Haddins fitness services will be Bodytree studio.
An inflatable waterpark concept, at AquaFun, will also be offered for visitors and residents to cool off. With AquaFun we have taken one of Abu Dhabis most beloved attractions the beach and added a very special twist. The family-friendly inflatable water park on the AL BAHAR beachfront will provide fun activities like waters slides, obstacles, ramps and an I Love AD floating structure. We can guarantee thrills, spills and fun all year round, said Ahmed Ben Chaibah, the CEO of Aqua Fun.
Offering a complete leisure and entertainment experience on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, AL BAHAR will also welcome additional brands under its umbrella such as Depresso, Margherita, Haagen Dazs, Ice Cream Lab, Urban Seafood, CupaGahwa, Miyabi Sushi, Tawa Bakery, Filli, and Scratch.
Construction work at AL BAHAR is also progressing on schedule. Infrastructure work is underway with cladding and aluminium structural work all in place. Retailers will be ready to start fitting out from next month now that the awarding of main packages has been completed.
