UAE-based conglomerate, Al Shirawi Group, has signed an enterprise agreement with Oracles Aconex for its
construction management software.
The agreement is set to benefit the groups businesses in engineering services such as Al Shirawi Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Co., Al Shirawi Contracting, and Al Shirawi Interiors.
Aconex, a platform for digital project delivery in construction and engineering projects, will be standardised for all future projects undertaken by group entities and will be used by more than nine project teams comprising approximately 250 employees in the initial phase.
The initial projects set to be deployed on it are the Silicon Park of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority and Cityland Mall, for which Al Shirawi Interiors is executing the fit-out scope, and Tiara Towers and American School of Dubai Middle School, for which the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) contractor will provide its services.
The solution for Al Shirawi will enable its teams to handle complex projects with aggressive schedules, allow for automation and standardisation of processes across the group, and make communication and collaboration between teams more seamless. Aconex Connected Cost module will also be implemented as part of the agreement for integrated cost management.
Pramodh Idicheria, COO, Al Shirawi – Engineering Services Group, said: As a progressive company that upholds the values of transparency and excellence, we felt Aconex with its brilliant collaborative features and audit trail will be highly beneficial for our people, operations and importantly, our partners and clients.
Madhukar Nath Chaturvedi, IT director, Al Shirawi Group, added: At Al Shirawi, we are firm believers in the power of technology to drive business growth. We scoured the market extensively for the best solution for our construction businesses and our search ended with Oracles Aconex. We are looking forward to collaborating with the team to maximise its advantages and empower our teams.
Rob Matheson, regional director of sales for Oracles Aconex, said: The construction and engineering sector continues to drive towards digital transformation at a rapid pace. In a tough and competitive market, the leading players must continually evolve to not only distinguish themselves, but mitigate risk whilst optimising operational
profitability. With this in mind, they have chosen to partner with us to drive a consistent approach to Collaborative Project Controls. We look forward to supporting them along their journey.
