Aldar Properties has launched a AED 1.3bn ($354mn) mid-market residential development on Reem Island in Abu Dhabi.
The Bridges will have a total of 1,272 units spread across six towers on two plots separated by the new 2.4km canal that runs through Reem Island.
Construction is expected to commence in Q4 2017 and be ready for handover during Q1 2020.
Three towers, comprising 636 homes, will be incorporated into Aldars leased residential portfolio as part of its investment programme announced last month. The developer will release one tower for sale at Cityscape Abu Dhabi this week.
Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, CEO, Aldar, said: We have launched The Bridges in order to cater to the significant demand for high quality, yet affordable homes in prime investment zone destinations across Abu Dhabi. Set alongside the new Reem Island canal and featuring a wide range of amenities, and situated close to Abu Dhabis business and cultural districts, The Bridges will appeal to both investors and owner occupiers.
Reem Island is adjacent to the central business district on Al Maryah Island, and is also five minutes away from the city centre.
