With numerous mega projects completed or under construction, Qatar is going to transform tremendously over the next decade.
The local government plans to spend $160bn on construction and infrastructure projects in preparation of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
With major advancements focussed on transitioning the nation, Qatar has turned to building information modelling (BIM) to facilitate its ambitious construction plans.
From Doha’s Metro System to the numerous sporting stadiums, hotels and residences, BIM will enable project teams of architects, engineers, building and infrastructure owners and construction firms to use 3D digital models to collaborate and support building projects throughout their lifecycle – from design and documentation to building and field support – ensuring that projects are delivered to the required specifications on schedule and within budget.
The second annual Future BIM Implementation Qatar will address the growing use of BIM technologies in Qatar to ensure that major construction projects are delivered to design specifications, within the agreed timelines and on budget. The conference is powered by Project Qatar, partnered with IFP Qatar and organised by Advanced Conferences and Meetings (ACM).
This conference will be held on 11-12 May 2016 at Intercontinental Hotel The City, Doha, Qatar. For more information log on to www.futurebimqatar.com
