Ranking 4: Stuart Harrison, CEO at Emrill
Since his appointment to CEO in 2019, Stuart has continued to build on the strong foundations and core pillars Emrill works and lives by. His open and transparent leadership style and achievements stand out among his FM peers. Responsible for the performance, health and well-being of Emrill’s employees across every aspect of Emrill’s business, he ensures all employees work towards the shared goal of operational excellence, quality and safety.
While Stuart places a great emphasis on performance and quality, this does not come at the expense of his team’s health and well-being. In 2020, Stuart led the company as it launched the ‘Happier Together with Emrill’ initiative in 2020 to create a culture of health, safety, happiness, positivity and well-being, and has adapted to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, successfully providing employees with a sense of community and the opportunity to discuss their worries in an environment of togetherness, learning and development that provides value in the current climate.
Stuart has inspired Emrill’s people to push the boundaries of delivery and innovation, creating a culture of continuous improvement, where every employee is accountable for ensuring customer satisfaction and continued growth. Stuart leads from the front – as an engineer that has worked his way up from an apprentice, he understands workforce dynamics at ground level. Joining Emrill in 2017 as Solutions Director, Stuart was responsible for technical delivery/excellence. He cemented his position as a key member of Emrill’s leadership team.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought with it challenges that continue into 2021. However, Stuart has managed the disruptions and met challenges head-on, ensuring Emrill maintains business operations at optimum performance levels throughout the COVID-19 outbreak. Responsible for the maintenance, security and cleaning of some of the UAE’s biggest communities, such as Dubai Marina, Downtown Dubai, Emirates Living and Reem Island, and key infrastructure, such as Dubai International (DXB) airport, Emrill has continued to perform crucial work to keep residents safe in the wake of the coronavirus.
