Within three months of awarding the major works contract, the Dubai property developer has completed the foundation work on its 26-storey tower project in Business Bay.
More than 9,000 cubic metres of concrete was poured into the foundation. The concrete was cast to support the tower, lift pits, sump pits and retaining walls. Additionally, 1,600 tonnes of steel reinforcement was used to complete the foundation.
Niall McLoughlin, Senior Vice President of Damac, said: “The contractor has fully mobilised the project with the required number of workers and machinery, and currently the site is working in both day and night shifts, which has ensured that the progress is on schedule.”
The Dubai-based developer awarded the main works contract of Dhs181,000 to Trans Emirates Contracting in September 2020. When completed, Zada will boast a swimming pool, a children’s playground and a fitness centre.
