Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA), to enhance cooperation and teamwork between both parties, and allow further exchange of knowledge in the disaster management field.
DEWA cooperates with various government organisations and departments to coordinate, and unify efforts, to make preparations, should any kind of emergency occur, while focusing on the strategic importance of electricity and water,” said HE Al Tayer after signing the MoU.
The MoU will allow the exchange of resources, skills, and knowledge between both parties. It will also allow both parties to be up-to-date regarding the latest crisis and emergency systems, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
HE Saeed Al Tayer, CEO of DEWA, praised the NCEMA’s role in managing and coordinating the roles of related parties with in the UAE, to unify efforts and to achieve mutual goals that ultimately serve the public.
