Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has completed 109 km of the 162 km, AED210mn project to supply, extend, and commission water distribution networks.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director and CEO of Dewa, said: “The main objective of the project is to develop water distribution networks in Al Khawaneej 2, TechnoPark, and other new areas in Dubai, to improve operational efficiencies and increase the flow of water to meet the rapid growth in water in various parts of Dubai.
“The project includes 450- and 100 mm diameter extensions of glass-reinforced epoxy main water pipelines to provide continuous and stable water supplies that are reliable, efficient, and always available, to achieve the happiness of customers and stakeholders.”
Tayer also added that the implementation of the project is going according to plan, and is expected to be complete by the end of 2017.
