Integrated facilities management firm, EFS, hosted the seventh edition of its employee carnival virtually on 5 February.
The EFS Carnival is an annual event hosted by the management and staff honouring its blue-collar workforce comprising technicians, housekeeping and security personnel from diverse nationalities.
Amidst the pandemic and its COVID-19 precautionary commitment, the people event was telecasted virtually connecting more than 4,500 staff online with senior management on the ground and fun zones set up in staff accommodations. This year’s carnival is celebrated in collaboration with its mindfulness and wellbeing programme, Saada.
EFS sets a spectrum of initiatives that recognizes these ‘boots on the ground’, their talent, welfare, and their tireless service for the company. The show comprised of entertainers, dancers, singers, DJs, and athletes along with raffles and compassionate awards for its blue-collar staff.
EFS honoured individuals and their families with the Compassionate Awards through various categories:
- Super Spouse Award– Recognising husbands or wives of staff who have majorly supported their partner’s dreams at the same time managed household responsibilities back home.
- Wonder Woman Award– Recognising mothers whose children are less than ten years of age with an opportunity to go to their hometown on a two-month holiday as a paid leave with free air tickets.
- Time to Give Back Award– Recognising staff with aged parents who are seventy years and above, to cater to their medical and financial care.
- Rightful & Deserving Award– Recognising genuine cases of staff who are in dire need of educational aid for their child or medical assistance for an ailing family member.
- Unsung Heroes Award– Recognising staff who add value to the company by going the extra mile with outstanding performance and dedication.
- Frontline Heroes Award– Recognising staff who have demonstrated exemplary commitment during COVID-19.
- Innovator Award – Recognising staff with significant contribution towards the innovation efforts of the company like operational efficiencies, cost and time savings, technology, and process enhancements.
- Compassionate Initiative Award– Recognising staff who carry out acts of social responsibility or is associated with social service work back in their hometown and supports with funds for individuals for education/wellbeing.
