UAE-based Facilities Management outfit Emrill has signed a four year deal with Hertz to upgrade its vehicle fleet.
Under the deal, Emrill will receive a fleet of 180 vehicles comprising of large 60 seat buses, vans and Security 4×4 patrol vehicles.
With the recent implementation of Vehicle Tracking, Defensive Driver Training, ENOC VIP Fuel Payments and a new fuel efficient fleet, Emrill has already witnessed enhanced performance for pick-up and drop-off routes, decreased vehicle idle times and reduced transportation cost by up to 15%.
Jason Ruehland, Managing Director, Emrill said: With the Hertz partnership, Emrill will not only reduce on lost time incidents in case of repairs, but will also receive serviced vehicles in well maintained conditions that enable reduced CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.”
Both companies are also promoting road safety through a one road to safety campaign, an initiative that targets the behaviours of vehicle drivers and passengers alike.
Drivers go through an assessed defensive driver training course to increase road safety awareness along with medical tests to ensure their fitness to drive.
Passengers meanwhile are made aware through periodic campaigns to highlight the importance of wearing seat belts while driving and avoiding distractions while on the road.
