Deep Dive Dubai has awarded Emrill a facilities management contract for its record-breaking diving facility. The contract scope includes the delivery of hard and soft facilities management services, including lifeguard services.
Opened to the public in July 2021, Deep Dive Dubai is home to the world’s deepest swimming pool with depths of 60 metres. The indoor pool is filled with 14 million litres of fresh water, which is the equivalent of six Olympic-sized swimming pools.
Emrill mobilised a team of technicians, housekeeping attendants and lifeguards on June 1, 2021, ahead of the public opening. They will play a critical role in ensuring the highest safety, cleaning and technical standards are maintained throughout the diving facility’s dry land common areas.
Stuart Harrison, Emrill’s CEO, said: “This is an exciting project on so many levels. Dubai has again launched a world’s-first experience, offering a diving attraction for diving enthusiasts in the UAE and thrillseekers from around the globe. In addition to the diving pool, the 1,500 square-metre facility also features a dive shop, a gift shop, a restaurant and a variety of meeting, event and conference spaces, as well as viewing areas.
“We’re honoured to be involved in such a prestigious project. Winning this contract demonstrates the adaptability and flexibility of the services we provide, which can be tailored to suit any environment — wet or dry. One thing that has not changed is Emrill’s commitment to providing best-in-class services and meeting or clients’ expectations, which are critical to ensuring the very best visitor experience.”
Richard Lundgren, Technical Manager at Deep Dive Dubai explained why Emrill was selected to provide facilities management and lifeguard services: “We are delighted to work together with Emrill, one of the most renowned facilities management companies in the region. Their focused approach towards meeting and exceeding the clients’ needs and requirements and attention to details and quality won Emrill the contract under strong competition.”
This contract win signifies Emrill’s ongoing expansion into the leisure and entertainment sector. The facilities management provider has long-standing contracts with an opera house and also supports large-scale events, such as new year’s celebrations in communities across UAE.
