French companies will be out in force next week at the Big 5 construction tradeshow and exhibition in Dubai.
Business France, the agency that promotes French companies overseas, is once again running a French pavilion at the event which kicks off at DWTC on Monday.
More than 40 companies from various sectors will showcase their products, services and expertise to local professionals with a view to forming or strengthening partnerships.
The French construction/finishings sector enjoys a strong reputation in terms of quality and reliability, two particularly crucial aspects in construction given the safety risks posed by low-end and counterfeit products.
The French offering is highly diversified, with companies of all sizes catering to the full spectrum of services from structural work to fit out.
It is estimated that business conducted by French construction related companies in foreign markets is worth EUR 7.8bn. The country tends to export products that are high-tech, high-quality and of sophisticated design (for example innovative insulating materials, façades that let in light, false ceilings, terra cotta tiles, natural paints, decorative fireplaces, etc.).
French companies Vinci, Bouygues, Saint-Gobain, Lafarge and Eiffage are among the biggest names in the construction industry.
