Imdaad, a Dubai-based group of companies providing integrated, sustainable facilities management (FM) services to enhance operational efficiencies of physical assets, recently concluded its annual Enviro Care Month campaign, which saw the participation of several school students, government and private sector employees and the company’s staff in the UAE. Imdaad organized sustainability-themed competitions as part of the campaign and presented the winners with attractive prizes.
The Enviro Care Month initiative stems from Imdaad’s ongoing commitment to embracing and promoting sustainable living and business practices. The competitions were held to promote recycling and highlight its importance in the protection and betterment of the environment. During the month-long campaign, Imdaad collected more than 27 tonnes of recyclables from various schools and government and private offices and premises. It is worth adding that Imdaad has been at the forefront of national efforts to increase recycling through its various initiatives, such as Farz, a state-of-the-art automated materials recovery facility capable of treating up to 1,200 tons of municipal solid waste, and in turn reducing 19,250 Kg of CO2 emissions, in a single day.
Al Khaleej School, Zayed Educational Complex and Greenwood International school bagged first, second and third places, respectively, in the school category. Employees from Nakheel, Dubai Customs, Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), as well as Imdaad also won prizes.
