The International Property Show, in partnership with Invest in Dubai Real Estate, an initiative of the Dubai Land Department (DLD), continues to gain massive momentum during its 10-day event and is expected to take the real estate industry by storm until the 20th of November 2020.
This ground-breaking virtual edition, in collaboration with Event10X, successfully attracted a massive global audience and brought together all participants locally and internationally to boost the real estate market, cultivate real estate knowledge, and build meaningful networks and partnerships using the latest digital technology.
“Dubai Land Department has worked incessantly to introduce programmes and initiatives aimed at stimulating development and increasing the attractiveness and sustainability of the real estate market. Thus, the success of this virtual event also reflects Dubai real estate’s success. The accomplishments of the International Property Show and Invest in Dubai Real Estate over the past few days have been enormous in every aspect. This event has positively affected many real estate players and led us one huge step closer towards achieving economic growth. This 10-day event is definitely making strides in the global real estate community and significantly affecting every participant,” said HE Sultan Butti bin Mejren, the Director General of Dubai Land Department.
The active participation of high-level officials at Dubai Land Department in the event’s activities attracted more attention and further heightened the interest of the participants of the real estate industry’s largest virtual event.
Majida Al Rashid, CEO of the Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management Sector at Dubai Land Department, will be the guest speaker for ‘Invest in Dubai Way Forward’ to lead an in-depth discussion about the outlook of investing in real estate in the emirate and explore effective strategies to overcome future obstacles.
HE Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita, CEO of Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), as well as other top chief executives at Dubai Land Department, will be featured as special guests in the anticipated talk show to discuss the latest trends and opportunities in the Dubai real estate market.

In addition, Hend Al Marri, CEO of the Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), conducted the informative training session entitled ‘DREI and the Importance of Education,’ which provided global audiences with an overview of DREI, its vision, and the numerous courses that would help participants currently and in the future. The session also highlighted the efforts done by DREI, especially during the pandemic, where the institute focused on promoting real estate knowledge and culture across various fields and for various stakeholders.
Word-class industry experts and media personalities were also featured in the 10-day real estate virtual event. Mr Marwan Alhel, programmes acquisition senior manager at Dubai TV, was the special guest during ‘Meet the Media,’ who discussed about the role of media in boosting real estate as well as shared his expertise on the competitiveness of Dubai in various aspects.
The ‘Meet the Influencers’ event, which featured different social media influencers, also attracted the attention of a lot of global participants, one of whom was Farooq Syed, CEO of Springfield Properties and an experienced realtor with a demonstrated history of working in Dubai’s real estate industry who discussed the reasons why people are attracted to visit Dubai.
“We have seen the 10-year residency visa being introduced recently as well as the retirement visa being introduced in Dubai for those above the age of 55, who can now easily get a retirement visa and live in the emirate. Such government initiatives are making Dubai more and more attractive for foreign investors, thanks to the government that is still extremely active even during a time like this,” commented Farooq Syed.

Noura bin Saidan, the first female mural and street artist in Riyadh handling the biggest mural in Saudi Arabia, talked about the impact of art on real estate. Ahmad Al Marzooqi, a civil engineering graduate and influencer, discussed the top reasons to invest in Dubai. Mohannad Alwadiya, a real estate expert and journalist, discussed important points in leasing – from renting to financial freedom. Shams Al-Attar, co-founder of La Hun Middle East, talked about the lifestyle in Dubai and why it is the best place to live.
Over the coming days, ‘Meet the Influencers’ will invite more social media personalities. Nisrine Moghraby, founder and principal of Harf Noon Design Studio, will discuss an important topic on the role of interior design in the real estate industry. Additionally, Zeina Khoury, CEO and chief growth officer of High Mark Real Estate Brokers, a specialist luxury property sales and management leader in the UAE, will address the topic on women empowerment in the real estate sector and her personal experiences within this challenging industry.
Investment Destination Forums showcased investment-friendly features of different countries. Investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia were discussed by the Chairman of Salman Abdullah Bin Saedan Real Estate Group, Salman bin Saedan, while initiatives and investment potential in Portugal were presented by Jorge Machado, chief general manager of Swan Real Estate. The forums will also feature other notable investment destinations, such as the UK to be led by Battersea Power Station Development Company, the USA to be featured by OneRent, Mauritius to be showcased by One and Only Villas (RE/MAX 24, and Namibia to be presented by Sell Fast Real Estate and Auctions.
Project presentations will also continue to gain numerous visitors, with top exhibitors leading the virtual stage, such as Dubai Properties, Tiger Properties, DIFC Courts, and Windmills Real Estate Valuation Services. In addition, the event will feature project presentations by Dubai Investments and District One.
DREI training sessions are still one of the most anticipated activities as the most renowned trainers and consultants of DREI lead the discussions to help attendees advance their career in real estate. Successful sessions were held over the previous days, such as Valuation in Real Estate by Noura Yassin, Dubai International Property Consultant (DIPC) by Hiba Jaber, Facts and Figures on the Real Estate Sector by Dana Salbak, 2020 Dubai Market Transformation by Akhmed Idigov, and Training on Real Estate Sales Skills by John Hue and Ashraf Allam.

Another forthcoming activity during the 10-day event will be Retirement in Dubai that will enable participants to understand the 5-year retirement residence visa programme and its eligibility requirements. Through this session, the audience can explore the necessary steps and criteria to be met to qualify for the programme.
