Kleindienst has awarded three contracts worth a combined AED4.8bn ($1.3bn) for its Heart of Europe project on The World Islands.
Chinese companies Wuchang and Sino Great Wall will combine their global experience with JK Bauen to lead the construction.
The contract, executed on 29th November follows the Strategic Cooperation Agreement and the formal MOU signed between these companies in Wuhan, China, earlier in the month.
The trio have been working to accelerate the mobilisation phase of the projects, Kleindienst said in a statement. Together they will build all the hotels located on The Heart of Europes main hub, Main Europe Island, villas on Germany Island, buildings and resort facilities on St Petersburg Island, as well as the buildings and infrastructure on the other three islands in the project.
JK Bauen is the existing contractor for the prestigious Sweden Palaces on Sweden Island, construction of which is well underway. The contractor will be responsible for dewatering, excavation, sheet piling, vibrocompaction, concrete structures, infrastructure and super structures, landscaping and hardscaping.
We share a vision with both Kleindienst and Wuchang that the Heart of Europe will be a luxury project unlike any other, in terms of design, construction quality and sustainability. We will keep all these factors in mind as the construction progresses so that standards are maintained throughout, said Gianfranco Rasile, Chief Properties Officer at The Heart of Europe and JK Bauen.
