Lacasa Holdings has announced the appointment of McArthur + Company as the retail consultancy and the operator for its upcoming mall development.
The Mall of Palestine, set to be the country’s largest retail destination extending over 60,000sqm was first announced in September 2017, with the name confirmed in November 2017.
Designed entirely by the companys subsidiary, Lacasa Architects, the mall will consist of 160 retail units, five anchor stores, a hypermarket, 21 food and beverage units, a food court, a kids play area, a ballroom, an ice rink, a cinema, and an indoor skydiving chamber.
The decision to appoint McArthur + Company was based on Lacasa Architects experience working with the retail consultancy on multiple large-scale projects in the region. In October 2017, Tom Dvoracek, director of Retail Development and Matthew Stych, market research manager at McArthur + Company visited Ramallah along with Lacasa Holdings chairman, Emad Jaber to conduct a site visit and to meet with prospective buyers and retail tenants. The firms scope will include design consultancy and retail mix advisory at the construction stage, followed by operations management once the mall is completed.
