Middle East Rail 2016 has increased its exhibition space by 25% compared to last year, in response to the increasing number of exhibitors from 221 in 2015 to 300 this year.
At the event, key railway projects worth $352bn currently planned and underway in the region will be discussed. Government departments, railway operators and construction companies will also give a first look at this year’s tenders and an understanding of the techniques and technologies being implemented to build these futuristic networks.
The 10th edition of Middle East Rail is being held on 8 to 9 March 2016 in partnership with the Ministry of Infrastructure Development UAE and the Federal Transport Authority – Land and Maritime.
The exhibition will be hosted across 18,000 square metres at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The show will host four country pavilions from Italy, China, Spain, and UK featuring railway supply companies in freight car, locomotive, maintenance-of-way, communications, signalling, leasing, and passenger rail industries.
More than 9000 visitors, including 600 VIP government officials are expected to attend the show.
