Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has announced that construction work has begun on the AED 377mn Al FayaRazeenAl Quaa carriageway project.
The upgrade of the existing road, connecting Abu Dhabi city to the southern parts of the emirate such as Al Quaa and Al Wagan, will help achieve smooth traffic movement and improve road safety for users.
The 88 km first part will extend from Al Faya to Razeen at Mafrouda Interchange, and the 52 km second part will end at Al Quaa, said Hamad Al Murar, Musanadas Acting CEO.
The first 15kmt will be a two-lane dual carriageway while the remaining part will be one-lane dual carriageway.
Work on the 140Km road project will encompass construction of roundabouts, pavements, lay-bys, lighting system, storm water network and stray animal fences.
