Oman has signed a pair of contracts worth a combined OMR 76mn ($197mn) related to two residential developments.
The first is for infrastructure work for the new residential area in the Wilayat of Liwa in the Governorate of North Al Batinah, local media reported.
The second deal is for consultancy services for preparing the necessary studies and detailed layouts for the new urban complex at Al Najd area in the Wilayat of Thumrait in the Governorate of Dhofar.
Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Shabibi, Minister of Housing signed the two agreements in the presence of Sheikh Muhanna bin Saif Al Lamki, Governor of North Al Batinah, Eng. Mohammed Ali Al Mutawaa, Director General of Planning, Cities and Survey and De. Amer bin Salim Al Harthy, Manager of Liwa Project.
The new agreements include water, irrigation, rainwater discharge, sanitary drainage, electricity and communication networks.
