Ahmed Alkoshaibi, founding chief executive officer of Arada, oversees the operational management of the company.
Since Arada was founded in early 2017, the organisation has grown at a rapid pace, and now has a staff of some 400 professionals, all with relevant experience from some of the region’s most prominent construction-related companies.
Ahmed told CBNME: “The last 12 months have been challenging but also a time of huge opportunity for Arada. While we initially faced difficulties from both a construction and sales perspective during the brief lockdown period in the UAE during 2020, I am pleased to say that both areas rebounded strongly from June onwards.
“As a young company with no legacy structures in place we have managed to secure several lucrative opportunities by acting fast and efficiently. This agility has allowed us to capture market share in our core market, attract a significant number of visitors to our destinations and cement our position as the region’s fastest growing and most progressive developer.”
Four years on from our launch, Arada is still a rapidly growing company, and is projecting their sales growth to rise by another 30% during 2021.
“We see plenty of expansion at our existing projects, which are two of the largest residential communities in Sharjah, and at future projects as well. However, this pandemic has also taught us that our future strategy must put concepts such as community, sustainability, and the environment front and centre in everything we do,” said Ahmed.
As such Arada has taken proactive steps when it comes to making their projects sustainable such as their family entertainment hub Madar at Aljada which is powered entirely by solar energy.
“Our overarching goal is to incorporate sustainable building materials, practices and solutions into our design process wherever possible,” Ahmed explained.
Over the past 12 months, Arada has completed the first five phases of Nasma Residences, its first project in Sharjah. Furthermore, Arada has also completed a further 500 homes at Aljada, Sharjah’s largest ever project. At the end of February 2020, Arada also completed Madar, a new family entertainment destination that has already welcomed more than 1.3 million visitors.
