Qatar-based Tadmur Contracting has become the first contracting firm to earn a gold LEED certification for its Evergreen building located within Energy City Qatar (ECQ).
After meeting the stringent standards related to Energy and Environmental Design, in compliance with LEED of the United States Green Building Council (USBGC) requirements.
CEO of Tadmur Holding Dafer Mustafa Hallawa said: “The revival of the construction boom in Qatar and across the region has presented serious environmental issues and concerns. However, our strong commitment towards sustainable development drives us to implement projects that strictly complies with and adheres to Global Green Building and environment-friendly quality and standards.”
Tadmur Contracting has implemented and constructed an innovative design for Evergreen that helps reduce carbon footprint and cuts utility bills. Its sustainable design also maximises energy efficiency, reduces environmental impact and improves indoor environment quality.
The building is owned and developed by Tadmur Holding, and it operated and maintained by OCS Qatar, its subsidiary.
