Special Economic Zone Authority of Duqm (Sezad) has signed an agreement with TruckOman granting the right of use of land for the construction of an integrated logistics centre.
The project will cover an area of 23,000 square metres in the logistics area, which is considered one of the main areas for investment in the zone.
Sezad has signed a number of land use agreements with local and foreign investors, a statement said on Tuesday.
The facility will include warehouse offices, a maintenance workshop and storage areas for equipment and machinery for oil and gas fields. The project aims to provide various logistics management solutions, including management of transport, supporting and controlling traffic movement, management of vehicle and equipment movement data.
H E Yahya al Jabri, chairman of Sezad and Dr Mohammed Moosa al Yousuf, chairman of TruckOman signed the agreement.
