The UAE government has given the approval for developmental projects worth nearly AED200mn in the Northern Emirates.
The approval by the Follow-up Committee of the Initiatives of the UAE President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan comes in line with the government’s efforts to develop the country’s infrastructure and ensure a safe environment for the people of determination, reported state news agency Wam.
Under the chairmanship of Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs, the committee endorsed the execution of an AED180mn project linking Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah with the federal road network in order to streamline access to the hospital’s services.
Other projects addressing the needs of the people of determination by the Ministry of Community Development have also been endorsed at a total cost of AED10.6mn, it stated. These include maintenance works and additions to special needs rehabilitation centres in Ras Al Khaimah, Al Fujairah, and Dibba Al Fujairah.
The committee also sanctioned an AED1.5mn project to renovate Wadi Shaam in Ras Al Khaimah, it added.
