Imdaad has been operating as an independent business entity for the last seven years, although its overall experience in integrated facilities management (IFM) spans more than 25 years. Imdaad commenced operations in 1986 as a civil engineering division of Ports Customs and Free Zone Corporation handling civil engineering works, air-conditioning and electrical maintenance.
In 1989, Imdaad increased it service capability by opening new divisions such as waste and environmental management, pest control, sewage treatment services. A joint venture was established in 2002 to provide outsourced facilities management services and in 2007 Imdaad was inaugurated with a mission to provide IFM solutions.
With services in both hard and soft FM clients include DP World, Dubai Airports, Emirates, JAFZA, Dubai Municipality, Nakheel, Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority and Emirates NBD, Emaar, Barclays and Dubai RTA, among others.
Most recently, during the 2016 FM Expo Dubai Imdaad announced the launch of its Integrated Network Operations Centre, an Internet of Things powered initiative from which the company can remote manage and monitor its customers sites and facilities. It is developed jointly with Robotina, a Slovenia-based comprehensive automation solutions provider.
In January of this year the firm appointed a new executive director of the environment department, Marc Esteve.
