Leading Ritchie Bros. Middle East branch since 2015, Eduard Faig and his team implemented the company’s global digital transformation strategy, which saw the successful transition to fully online auctions and marketplaces last year while further extending its suite of asset procurement, inventory management and asset disposition solutions.
Eduard has previous experience managing Ritchie Bros.’ operations in Spain before relocating to Dubai.
Established in 1958, Ritchie Bros. is the world’s largest asset management and disposition company and a leading seller of heavy equipment, machinery, and vehicles, while also offering a range of data insights, services, and transaction solutions.
Many positive changes have occurred at the company during the last 18 months, both at a global and local level. Under Eduard’s guidance, Ritchie Bros.’ successful transition to fully online auctions and marketplaces was recognised last year when the company received the Best Innovative Auction Solutions prize at the Construction Innovation Awards 2021 for its easy-to-use online infrastructure that successfully connects consignors to buyers by expanding global reach and facilitating cross-border sales.
Nowadays, Eduard continues to drive Ritchie Bros.’ transition from an auction company to a leading global marketplace for insights, services, and transaction solutions. At the company’s recent June auction, it sold over 1,800 items through its Dubai auction site to online buyers worldwide, recording the highest number of buyers and sellers in the past five years for May/June auctions.
Eduard and his team remain committed to continually delivering best-in-class asset management and disposition services to buyers and sellers throughout the region and globally.
