Graduating in 2011 from the International College of Engineering and Management with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Safety Management, Sam Alcock joined Tenable FEC’s Oman office as a fire consultant. In 2013, Alcock established Tenable FEC’s operations in the UAE, an opportunity that enabled him to develop the business before being officially appointed as Dubai Director in 2016. Since then, Alcock has built an industry specialist-led team and has established key relationships with prominent developers and consultants across the GCC and worldwide, cementing Tenable FEC’s position as one of the largest dedicated fire and life safety consultancies in the region.
In the past eight months of 2022, Tenable FEC has been awarded approximately Dh. 11.5 million in projects and has also secured high-profile projects in Saudi Arabia, including three hotels on Shura Island in The Red Sea. Tenable FEC has other multiple high-profile projects in the kingdom in NEOM, DGDA, Amaala, Seven Entertainment and Qiddiya, which will be home to KSA’s Formula 1 track. Aside from these giga projects, Tenable FEC is involved in the first Islamic Art biennale, the Jeddah Islamic Biennale, which will enable visitors to experience and learn about Islamic art’s past. To support Tenable FEC’s expansion into the kingdom, the consultancy will be opening an office in Saudi Arabia later this year with a KSA-based team of industry experts to focus on the multitude of projects that Tenable FEC has won.
With Alcock at the helm of operations in the UAE, Tenable FEC has won several global projects, including an island in the Maldives and future large-scale international projects in Nairobi, Kenya. To support the organisation’s growth in Asia, Tenable FEC has just opened its first office in Malaysia.
