Helena De Flaviis
Senior Director
Khatib & AlamiHelena De Flaviis joined Khatib & Alami as Senior Director to lead the development and implementation of the firm’s project finance consultancy and capital investment arm, focussed on both client-side advisory as well as co-development of public infrastructure assets (both economic and social), master urban developments, and private sector real estate developments across the Middle East and Africa, covering a range of sectors (transport, power, water, healthcare, education, hospitality, and mixed-use developments). Current projects range from reconstruction programs in Iraq, mega developments in the GCC, railway development in North Africa, through to affordable housing programs in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Over her 17 years’ career spent across organisations like Brookfield, KPMG, and Serco in the UK, ASPAC, and the Middle East, Flaviis has in depth experience throughout the lifecycle of a range of infrastructure assets, from early feasibility and project development, deal structuring, construction through to long-term operations, having led projects on both sell-side and buy-side, representing project developers, investors, builders, governments and operators of billion-dollar plus public assets, including airports, hospitals and roads. -
Andrew Greaves

Addleshaw GoddardAndrew Greaves is Addleshaw Goddard's Regional Head of Construction and the Head of the GCC, having spent 11 years living and working in the Middle East. Prior to qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2000, Andrew spent 10 years working directly in the construction industry in an increasingly commercial capacity. Andrew specialises in advising government bodies, sponsors, funders, developers, employers, operators, constructors, sub-contractors and professional teams in relation to project procurement techniques (including facilities management) and dispute avoidance and resolution mechanisms. Andrew has also drafted, advised on and negotiated major PPP agreements and commercial documents relating to the procurement, operation and maintenance of major infrastructure projects, including oil and gas facilities, pipeline networks, power plants, mixed use developments, schools, hospitals, airports and roads. Andrew's experience also extends to joint venture agreements, most forms of standard form construction contracts and ancillary documentation (including consultant appointments, bonds, and guarantees). Andrew also has detailed experience of drafting project procurement documents including expressions of interest, pre-qualification questionnaires and request for proposals.

Sherief Elabd
Director of Industry Strategy and Business Development
OracleSherief Elabd is the Director of Industry Strategy and Innovation at Oracle Construction and Engineering Global Business Unit (CEGBU). He is a civil engineer coming from a construction project management background, and with 15 years of experience in Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) systems for asset intensive industries across the project lifecycle, from ideation, prioritisation and selection, capital planning and budgeting, project planning, scheduling and controls, and down to facilities and real estate portfolio management. During his career, Elabd has program managed EPPM system implementations and integration projects for large enterprises in AEC, public sector, and transportation industries.

Paul Wallett

Trimble SolutionsPaul Wallett began his career in the construction industry 27 years ago. A 1992 civil and structural engineering graduate from Leeds Metropolitan University, he spent many years working as a structural draughtsman and project engineer. An industry expert with hands-on field knowledge, he was one of the early adopters of 3D structural modelling.
With his excellent knowledge of enterprise, ERP, and BIM technology solutions, Wallett has spent the last 19 years in the UK, Far East, USA and now the Middle East providing support, training, consulting and management thus enabling commercial engineering, offshore EPC companies, fabricators, and contractors to successfully adopt BIM. He is based in Dubai and leads as the Area Business Director for UAE and India operations. -
Christopher Wodzicki

With the ever-accelerating technical developments afforded by computational design, Wodzicki strives to sit at the cutting edge of the industry and ensure the local market is keeping up with the global trends.
Most recently, Wodzicki completed the design delivery of the Museum of the Future in Dubai, and is currently heavily involved in a sculpture intended to further distinguish the already recognizable Dubai Marina skyline. Wodzicki received his bachelor’s degree from the McGill University in Montreal, Canada and a master’s degree from MIT in Cambridge, US. He is a member of Professional Engineers in the State of Massachusetts.” -
